Indiana REACT-CERT is currently seeking applications for membership.
If you
have a genuine interest in public service, we would like to hear from you. A background in radio communications
and an amateur radio license are desired but not necessary. We would like to interview you for a place on our fast paced energetic
team!
We Are Looking For People
That Can Say
Yes
To Most Of The Following Questions:
1. Can
you handle not having a shower in days? Long hours of work where your only pay check is a smile and a “Thank You”?
2. Can
you sleep on a cot or in a sleeping bag, with 100 -500 or more other people (all of different race - ethnics back grounds
-and genders) all in the same area and not discriminate or be prejudice?
3. Be able to tolerate
people who don't smell that pretty due to lack of or non- existing showers, people snoring, crying children?
4. Are
you the type of person that can take a maximum of 3 weeks to work on a DRO (Disaster Relief Operation)? Before you answer
that, realize you might only be needed for a week, but on the chance you are needed for an extended time, we suggest you use
3 weeks for a ball park figure.
5. Are you an out of the box thinker (meaning can you think out of the ordinary
and come to a solution on how to handle a task?)
6. Can you sympathize and empathize with people and understand that they have LOST
almost everything they own, if not everything they own?
If you answered yes to most, or all of these questions,
then we here at Central Indiana REACT-CERT are very interested in talking with you, and your community
can really use your help during a time of Disaster.
